TrueBuild Realty is a property marketplace for Delhi NCR. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the website, why we collect it, who can see it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are

What we collect
When you create an account
- Your name, email address and mobile number.
- Whether you’re buying or selling, and if selling, whether you’re an owner, agent or builder, plus your company or agency name.
- A password, which we store only as a one-way hash. We can’t see or recover it.
When you continue with Google
Google shares your name, your email address, the fact that the email is verified, and an account identifier. We never receive your Google password.
When you post a property
The details and photos you add, including the locality, PIN code and any street address you choose to enter. Listings are public. We re-save every photo when it’s uploaded, which removes hidden data such as the GPS location and camera details.
When you send an enquiry
The name, email, mobile number and message you enter. These go to the person who posted the property, in their dashboard and by email.
When you browse
Properties you shortlist, and, when you’re logged in, your last few searches and the last few listings you opened, so you can pick up where you left off on any device (when you’re not logged in, these stay in cookies on your own device instead; see the cookie policy). You can clear them from Dashboard → Shortlist. We also keep basic technical data such as your IP address. We use that technical data to keep you signed in and to stop repeated login attempts. To see which pages are visited, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you: it records the page, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type. We don’t use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep you signed in.
- To publish your listings and show buyers who posted them.
- To pass your enquiries to sellers, and their replies to you.
- To prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
We process this data with your consent, which you give when you create an account or send an enquiry. You can withdraw it at any time (see below).
Who can see your data
- Everyone: your listings, along with the poster’s name, seller type (owner, agent or builder) and company name.
- The seller you contact: the name, email, mobile number and message in your enquiry.
- Service providers: Google, which delivers our emails through Gmail, handles Google sign-in if you use it, and stores our encrypted backups on Google Drive. They only get what’s needed to run the service. Backups are encrypted before they leave our server, so they can’t be read on Google Drive.
We don’t sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Account details: until your account is deleted.
- Sign-in sessions: 30 days, or until you log out.
- Listings and their photos: until you delete the listing, or your account is deleted.
- Enquiries: for as long as the listing they relate to exists.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we’ve shared it with
- ask us to correct, complete or update it
- ask us to erase it, and withdraw your consent
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to
- complain to our Grievance Officer, and if you’re not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India
You can download your data yourself, from Dashboard → My account. To have your account deleted, raise a support ticket (Dashboard → My account → Raise a ticket) or write to us from the Contact page; we delete your account, listings and photos and confirm by email. Copies inside our encrypted backups expire within 30 days. For anything else, email [email address]. We’ll respond within [number] days.
Cookies
We only use cookies that the site needs in order to work. Our cookie policy lists each one.
Children
TrueBuild Realty is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
Security
Passwords are hashed, and sign-in cookies can’t be read by scripts on the page. We check every photo upload to make sure it is really an image. No system is perfectly secure, so if you suspect someone has accessed your account, contact us straight away.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and its date. Significant changes will be shown on the site before they take effect.
